On December 5, 1933, Prohibition officially ended. Repeal Day is a reminder of where American distilling returned and where our own story began.
On December 5, 2012, we filed our corporate papers to create Wiggly Bridge Distillery. I guess you could say it was destiny. The end of Prohibition restored the tradition of local spirits. Our beginning brought that tradition back to York, Maine.
A father and son started with curiosity, copper, and a belief that great spirits could still be made by hand. No outside investors. No corporate blueprint. Just hard work, family, and a handmade still by the sea.
Thirteen years later, we continue to distill in copper stills we built ourselves, handcraft our award winning spirits in small batches, and welcome visitors from all over the country and the world. We remain family-owned, independent, and committed to craft.

Wiggly Bridge Construction Update!

If you’ve driven by lately, you’ve probably noticed our front entrance is SO close to being finished. It`s what we`ve always visioned Wiggly to be and we are so proud of how it`s coming along. We`ve also been busy on the inside and plugging away and we wanted to share with our Wiggly fans! Between sawdust, lifts, and Christmas music starting way too early (depending who you ask), here’s what we’ve been up to:
✨We Are Already in the Christmas Spirit
Even with all the chaos of construction, we’re soaking in the holiday vibes. We know, it`s not even Thanksgiving yet, but this nook with new windows is picture perfect for a tree!
✨A Kitchen Hood = Food Offerings On The Way!
Yep… we’re officially getting ready to offer food. Today was a very busy day putting in the new hood, which means we’ll have some fun new bites coming your way. Timing is still to be determined, but progress is progress!
✨ Bottling Area = Elbow Room at Last
Same bottling line, more room! Remember how tight that old space was? We finally have breathing room and some natural light for a functional bottling space that doesn’t require everyone to do the “Wiggly Shuffle” to get around and hand bottle our spirits!

This might not sound glamorous, but this is life-changing for us. Our backs have never been happier.

We’re bringing in warm, handmade touches that feels like “us," cozy and built with care. It already feels like Wiggly.
